Diego Luna includes film, television, and stage in his repertoire. He was introduced to worldwide audiences with his starring role in the film Y Tú Mamá También, which earned him the Marcelo Mastroianni award at the Venice Film Festival. Since then he has lent his talent to over 30 films. He is a principal cast member in the upcoming “Star Wars: Rogue One” film. Diego’s first narrative feature film "Abel" premiered at the 63rd Annual Cannes Film Festival. His first English language directorial feature film, “Cesar Chavez” was released in 2014. He most recently directed Mr. Pig, a feature film starring Danny Glover and Maya Rudolph, both films were produced by CANANA — the production company Luna founded in 2005 with Gael García Bernal and Pablo Cruz. Along with Elena Fortes, they also co-founded Ambulante, a non-profit that organizes traveling documentary film festivals to promote cultural exchange. Diego continues to actively direct for his co-owned branded content company GLORIA, based in Los Angeles.
